Uplifting and spiritual, engulfing the listener beyond the reach of the concert hall Mahler’s iconic Symphony No. 2 takes you to new heights. Mahler is known for his BIG orchestras, not only in sound, but in personnel size. Come hear one of the largest orchestral sounds in the repertoire, not only with the large ASO orchestra (almost 100 musicians), but with the Allentown Symphony Chorus under the direction of chorus master, Eduardo Azzati. The last symphony Mahler wrote, “Resurrection” is an ode to the earth, to nature, and to humanity’s greatness.
