Lehigh Valley Chorale Presents Where Hope Is Found
Saturday, December 14, 2024, 2:00 pm
Where do we go when hope cannot be found?
Join the Lehigh Valley Chorale in celebrating connection, compassion, and hope in our winter choral concert series Where Hope is Found. This concert will be an exploration of life’s joys, sorrows, fears, tragedies, and most of all, hope. The Lehigh Valley Chorale’s choral forces of nearly 200 members will be joined by the Mosaic Youth Chorus, led by Dr. Joy Hirokawa, and a chamber orchestra of seasoned local musicians.
This concert will not just feature music, but be a complete community event. LVC will be joined by several organizations working locally in the valley that focus on young people and mental health. Concert goers will have the opportunity to learn more about local organizations making an impact in our community, and find ways to become actively involved. These concerts will not just inspire - they will deeply benefit the fabric of our beloved Lehigh Valley community from our youngest to our oldest.
We encourage you to be a part of an evening that will leave you feeling hopeful and inspired and maybe, just maybe, change the world.
LEHIGH VALLEY CHORALE
The Lehigh Valley Chorale is the area’s fastest-growing choral ensemble. We are a non-auditioned group of over 150 musicians from eclectic backgrounds, and we strive to be a welcoming and proactively inclusive organization. We are committed to accessibility for all while keeping relentless focus on high standards of music-making. In addition to our regular season performances, LVC also performs at local events including IronPigs games, Christkindlmarkt, Lehigh Valley Phantoms, Veterans’ Day ceremonies, and more. We are proud to have a strong partnership with MidAmerica Productions, in which LVC has been called to prepare and perform several concerts at Carnegie Hall with full orchestra.
Our founding Artistic Director, Edward W. Milisits II, was a firm believer that “anyone can sing” and espoused this value throughout his career as an educator. This guiding principle is at the core of everything we do, and is within the heartbeat of the music we create. There’s a place for everyone in our Chorale, with opportunities for rich, transformative musical experiences that ultimately connect to our shared humanity. We are committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and belonging within our choral community. www.lvchorale.org
