The Allentown Band presents “The Twenties Roar!”

It is with extreme disappointment that we announce the cancellation of the Allentown Band’s 2020 Side by Side Concert- “The Twenties Roar” scheduled for May 3rd at Miller Symphony Hall. The unprecedented circumstances brought about by the pandemic COVID-19 make it impossible to carry out the necessary activities and rehearsals in the upcoming weeks to prepare for this concert. Governor Wolfe has directed that all schools in Pennsylvania close until at least April 9, and that all “non-life sustaining” businesses, which includes the Allentown Band and the concert venue Miller Symphony Hall, close for an indefinite time period. If and when schools reopen to students in the current school year, we will reevaluate our options to see if we can piece together a meaningful modified program in order to include students in a revised, scaled down version of this outreach program for 2020.
