Beethoven @ 250

PREMIERES NOVEMBER 21 | AVAILABLE ON DEMAND BEGINNING NOVEMBER 22
The first four notes of the Fifth. The two lighting bolts that electrify the Eroica. The crashing “Ode to Joy” of the Ninth. This is the Beethoven we know - at his most theatrical. Yet the intimacy of his chamber works reveal more of the man himself. Introspective, and illuminating. Composed for the home, not for the hall. And that is where you can hear it, when the Allentown Symphony streams it, just as Beethoven intended. The miraculous Septet, and the Piano Trio, Op. 11.
John Schwartz, Clarinet
Susan Shaw, Bassoon
Jonathan Clark, French horn
Eliezer Gutman, Violin
Cameron Raecke, Viola
Jameson Platte, Cello
Peter Paulsen, Double bass
Michael Toth, Piano
