JOB SUMMARY:
The marketing intern is responsible for building a group sales program for the ASO Concert Series. This will involve identifying local groups and building relationships with their contact people, as well as defining our offer to these groups. Once established, the intern will coordinate meetings and attempt to make sales as well as developing marketing collateral (including website page) to support the program.
The intern will exit the role having completed a substantial project with significant benefit to the organization. The intern will be unpaid but will earn college credits through Cedar Crest College.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Two years or more of college; major can vary.
- Excellent computer skills (we use MS Office suite)
- People person, friendly and engaging personality
- Ability to persuade, negotiate and come up with creative solutions
- Ability to close a deal
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Ability to write professional letters and business correspondence.
- Good time management skills
- Ability to work 15-20 hours per week
Reports to Director of Marketing
RESPONSIBILITIES AND OUTCOMES:
Create List of Group Sales Targets and Define Basic Offer
- Research possible targets
- Senior Communities
- 55+ Communities
- Clubs
- Identify Contact people at each group/organization
- Work with Staff to Develop Basic Offer
- Recommend changes based on interactions with groups
Begin Selling to Target List
- Coordinate meetings & presentations with groups
- Maintain record of progress
Develop Marketing Materials to Support Sales
