The Allentown Symphony Orchestra, Diane Wittry Music Director, announces auditions for the following positions:
Section Viola (2 positions) – September 9, 2026

Section Cello – September 13, 2026

Principal Trumpet – September 14, 2026
Resumes Due: August 24, 2026
Section Percussion – September 16, 2026
Resumes Due: August 26, 2026
Section Bass – October 19, 2026
Resumes Due: September 28, 2026

2026-27 Season Section Pay
$138.46 for 2.5-hour Rehearsals
$154.42 for Rehearsals longer than 2.5 hours
$145.75 for Concerts
Overscale premium:
25% for Principal
10% for Assistant Principal
Travel reimbursement of $0.53/mile, up to 180 miles roundtrip per day, with the first 40 miles exempt. The Allentown Symphony does not provide lodging or per diem.
