Twice a year members of the Composer Collaborative have the opportunity to submit scores for the New Chamber Music Concerts. Typically held in the spring and fall, themes and instrumentation for these concerts vary. Composers whose work is chosen for the concert will have the opportunity to have their piece performed for a live audience by professional musicians from the Allentown Symphony Orchestra.
CALL FOR SCORES
Fall 2026 Concert: Woodwind Trio & Piano Program
Call for Scores Deadline: Friday, July 31, 2026
- Main Instrumentation: Woodwind Trio (Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon) or any combination of these instruments
- We will also accept pieces for a solo Flute, Clarinet, or Bassoon with or without Piano Accompaniment
- We will not accept solo Piano pieces.
- All rehearsals and concert will take place in the Rodale Room
- Composition Length: 5 minutes or less
- Rehearsal #1: October 13, 7-10pm
- Rehearsal #2: October 20, 7-10pm
- Rehearsal #3: October 26, 7-10pm (Composers required to be present)
- Dress Rehearsal: October 27, 2-5pm
- Concert Date: October 27, 2026, 7-9pm
Composers whose works were performed in the most recent call for scores are welcome to submit a piece for the next call for scores but should understand that priority will go to composers who have not had a work played recently. Works from previously performed composers may also be included.
