Spring 2026 Concert: America 250!
CALL FOR SCORES
Deadline: Friday, January 16, 2026
Use historical text to incorporate into the piece itself with male soloist as lyrics OR project on the screen to showcase the inspiration behind the piece written (American History, America 250 celebration, or an American current event)
NOTE: It is the responsibility of the composer to research their chosen text and make note of any text that is copyrighted and find out who holds the rights to it. The composer must get permission from the copyright holder before setting that text to music and submitting for this Call for Scores.
- Instrumentation: Piano, Violin, Cello + Male soloist (probably baritone, spoken or sung) – any combination
- Concert Date: March 24, 2026, 7-9pm
- Location: TBD
- Composition Length: 5 minutes or less
- Rehearsal #1: March 10 or 12, 7-10pm (Rodale Room)
- Rehearsal #2: March 17 or 19, 7-10pm (Rodale Room)
- Rehearsal #3: March 23, 7-10pm (w/ composers, Rodale Room)
- Dress Rehearsal: March 24, 2-5pm (TBD)
- Composers whose works were performed in the most recent call for scores are welcome to submit a piece for the next call for scores but should understand that priority will go to composers who have not had a work played recently. If there is room on the program, works from previously performed composers may also be included.
