Stravinsky’s dazzling Firebird Suite (1945 version), performed in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, comes alive as a fully immersive experience—uniting orchestra, dance, and imagination in a thrilling highlight of the season. Also on the program is the Pennsylvania premiere of Ode to Carmen Miranda by Composer-in-Residence Clarice Assad, a vibrant and rhythmic tribute the Brazilian bombshell who took Hollywood by storm in the 1940s. And finally, the yet to be determined 2026 Schadt String Competition Winner will take the stage with their winning violin concerto.
