This re-creation of the Symphony’s first concert in October 1951 features an extraordinary lineup, including Gershwin’s An American in Paris, Tchaikovsky’s Sleeping Beauty, Debussy’s Clair de Lune, and more timeless favorites. Violin soloist Mio Imai, the talented Grand Prize winner of the Philadelphia International Music Festival Concerto Competition, joins the orchestra for stunning performances of Mendelssohn’s Violin Concerto and Saint-Saëns’ Introduction and Rondo Capriccioso.
